👨💻 About the Role
This role sits at the heart of Mous’ creative and content strategy function, focused on producing high-quality video edits for both paid advertising and organic social channels. As a Video Editor, you will play a key role in transforming scripts, raw footage, and creative concepts into compelling, performance-driven content designed to capture attention and maximise viewer retention across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
You will work closely with the UK-based creative team particularly the Content Strategy Lead and collaborate with the Pakistan editing team to deliver content that meets both creative and commercial objectives. This is a fast-paced role where speed, precision, and storytelling ability are equally important.
Please note that this role will be situated at our office in Lahore (Upper Mall), working on-site from Monday-Thursday, with Friday being an optional WFH day. The normal working hours will be 10am - 7pm PKT.
👋 About You
You are a highly capable video editor with strong technical fundamentals and a sharp instinct for pacing, storytelling, and audience engagement. You have hands-on experience editing short-form content for social platforms and understand what makes content perform particularly in fast-moving, attention-driven environments.
You take pride in delivering polished work quickly, without compromising on detail or organisation. You are a fast learner who responds well to feedback and continuously looks for ways to improve your output. You can take creative direction and run with it, working independently without needing constant guidance. At the same time, you communicate clearly and reliably, making collaboration across time zones seamless.
You bring a proactive mindset to problem-solving, whether that’s improving an edit for better retention or finding more efficient ways to work. What matters most is your ability to combine creativity with execution, and your drive to produce content that delivers real results.
🔑Key Responsibilities:
Edit short and long-form, performance-focused videos for paid advertising campaigns across social platforms.
Edit product-focused content for organic social channels including TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
Translate scripts and selects into clear, engaging edits with strong pacing and narrative flow.
Select music, sound effects, and rhythm to maximise viewer retention and emotional impact.
Apply feedback quickly and iterate on edits efficiently across multiple revision rounds.
Maintain organised project files and clean, structured editing workflows throughout production.
Collaborate closely with the UK creative team to support effective, on-brand content production.
Contribute to evolving and uplifting the Mous content style and performance standards over time.

🤓Skills requirements:
Hard skills:
Strong fundamentals in video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro, including pacing and timeline management.
Proven experience editing short-form social content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
Ability to translate scripts and selects into clear, engaging edits with strong viewer retention.
Good instinct for music selection, sound design, and rhythm.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining clean and structured timelines.
Strong organisational workflow and project file management. Basic motion graphics or animation skills.
Soft skills:
Fast learner who applies feedback quickly and iterates with confidence.
Reliable communication and responsiveness across time zones.
Ability to interpret creative direction and execute without excessive guidance.
Strong attention to detail and ownership of output quality.
Proactive mindset when solving editing or storytelling problems.
Experience using AI tools to support and accelerate editing workflows.
