👨💻 About the Role
You'll own Accounts Payable for Mous end to end: supplier invoices, payment runs, card and expense reconciliations, supplier statements and the AP side of month-end close. You'll report to our Head of Financial Control and work closely with the Finance Director and with teams across the business in Lahore and London.
Within three months, you'll be running the whole payables function on your own, accurately and on time. Within six months, you'll have consolidated the processes and systems behind it, so it runs smoothly with every team.
This is a full-time role based in our Lahore (Upper Mall) office. You'll be on-site Monday to Thursday, with the option to work from home on Fridays, 10am to 7pm PKT.
👋 About You
You've owned the payables cycle yourself, not just posted invoices into it. You've run payment runs, reconciled supplier statements and closed month-end AP without someone checking every step. When a reconciliation breaks, you find the root cause, and when a process is slow or manual, you fix it instead of working around it. You're precise, organised and clear with suppliers and colleagues alike.
🔑Key Responsibilities:
Process and post supplier invoices accurately and on time, checking approvals, coding and supporting documents.
Prepare and run weekly payment runs in line with approval matrices.
Reconcile virtual and corporate card transactions daily, making sure each one is correctly coded and supported.
Review, audit and process employee expense claims against company policy, and reimburse them on time.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Act as the main contact for supplier queries and keep supplier relationships strong.
Support month-end close with AP reconciliations, and make sure every AP transaction is accurately recorded in our ERP.
Monitor aged payables, manage overdue balances and keep vendor master data and payment details accurate.
Provide timely AP reports and payment forecasts for cash-flow planning.
Support audits with documentation and schedules.
Find and deliver improvements to AP processes, controls and automation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls and relevant tax requirements.
✔️How will success be measured?
After 3 months:
You run the full payables function on your own, accurately.
Every invoice and expense is recorded on time.
Supplier balances are reconciled, with discrepancies resolved directly with vendors.
After 6 months:
AP processes and systems are consolidated into one consistent way of working.
You handle all of Accounts Payable end to end.
Communication with other departments on supplier transactions runs smoothly.
🤓Skills requirements:
3–5 years in accounting, with hands-on ownership of the full AP cycle: invoice processing, three-way matching, supplier reconciliations, payment runs and month-end close.
Advanced Excel (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIFS, data validation), with examples of reconciliations you've built.
ACCA, CMA, or CA (part-qualified) preferred.
Strong attention to detail. You catch errors before they're paid.
Clear written and verbal communication with suppliers and internal teams.
Reliable and organised, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
😊Nice to have:
Hands-on experience with an ERP or accounting system such as Acumatica, Odoo, SAP or NetSuite.
Power Query or macros, AP automation tools, or experience with multi-currency payments is a plus.
